Is suicide a sin? Yes, it is murder Is suicide something that you can go to hell for? Not if you are a believer We have no absolute right to take or harm anyone's life, ours or another's for they do not belong to us, they belong to God. Bible there are only 3 outright suicides mentioned: Saul, Ahithophel, and Judas. None of them are Godly men, all of them were filled with pride and who had no confidence in God. To kill yourself is the ultimate act of discontent, the ultimate grumbling against God's providence, the ultimate refusal to believe that "all things work together for good to those who love God." What does the Bible say about your salvation? Romans 3:24 Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. 25 For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times. 26 And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus. 27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith. 28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law. We are free from sin because Jesus took that punishment from us. We are made right with God by having faith in Jesus’ sacrifice. When Jesus forgives someone, He forgives all their sins and gives them eternal life and they shall never perish. Salvation is not based upon what you do Since you did not get your salvation by what you did, you can not lose it by what you do. John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me, Galatians 2:21 I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die. |
